We’ve been coming to Dr. Michael Gelfand at Family Smile Dental for over 10 years now. This is the best doctor who takes pride at providing the best patient care to all his patients! All of the doctors and staff are so friendly and caring here! Dr. Gelfand goes above and beyond at making you feel comfortable, explains every step of the procedure, and puts you at ease throughout the entire process. He is very professional, uses the latest technology, and is up to date with best and latest innovative techniques in the world of dentistry! He is wonderful with children, I don’t know how he does it but neither of my 2 small kids ever cried in his chair; and believe me we’ve had quiet a lot of work done over the years! I highly recommend this office, especially if you are looking for honest, professional, and caring doctors!

I came in for a check up and a cleaning. This office was recommend to me by my friend. When I arrived, I was taken in promptly. Both the doctor and the hygienist were very pleasant. I needed to get 2 fillings and the doctor explained the procedure well so I felt at ease. Great experience! I would definitely return for my 6 month check up.

Visit at Dr. Irlin dental office

I live in Forest Hills. Pretty far, considering hundreds of dentist offices surrounding my house. Yet, I prefer Dr Irlin service and drive 45 minutes to his Brooklyn office. It is self-explanatory I guess.

Dental cleaning

I’m a fairly new patient at family smile dental. Ive had negative experiences with previous dentists/ hygienists in the past with other dental offices. It took a lot of courage for me to try a new place all over again. Upon arriving at family smile dental, most of the staff that attended to me were nice and friendly. Who I really give my highest praise and rating for is the dental hygienist Lyubov. I’ve told Lyubov that I was scared to come to the dentist and that I was feeling anxious. She instantly made me feel at ease. She was so kind and she was very sensitive to my needs. She is such a sweet person. She took her time to thoroughly clean my teeth in the most gentle manner and she took the time to answer any questions that I had. Ever since that first experience with her, i decided to come back. Yesterday was my third cleaning and I always request to have Lyubov to do my cleaning. She is thorough and she always checks in to see how I’m doing. She’s also very personable, knowledgeable, and she really changed my experience/ thoughts about coming to the dentist. I have not really gotten to know the dentists at the office but I am hoping that they are as kind and sensitive to the needs of their patient as Lyubov is.

The best dentist!

Wonderful service! Dr. Gelfand is very attentive, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. He carefully analyzes every dental problem, fully explains to me every procedure he plans to implement, and spends adequate time to ensure the procedures are completed appropriately. Moreover, he follows up with a phone call after complicated procedures. It is obvious that he cares about his patients and takes his patients seriously. Dr. Gelfand is the best dentist I have ever encountered. The hygienist at the office, Luba, does the best and painless cleaning. She is very meticulous, skillful, and friendly. The office is spotless and equipment is always very clean. The medical staff and receptionists are courteous, friendly, and very pleasant. I consider it the best dental office!
